What defines the sound
Beck abandoned the pick and controlled the Stratocaster entirely with his hands, using the tremolo arm, volume knob and pickup selector as expressive tools. He blended fuzz, an octave effect and a DigiTech Whammy with valve amplifiers to create singing, almost synth-like lines that never sounded the same twice.
